Fire Rated Duct

Bridge Extraction are suppliers of fire rated ductwork, and an accredited installer of Firemac FM fire resistant ductwork.
Firemac's range of systems use a glass fibre woven fabric which is applied by our fully trained fabricators to ductwork to give a variety of fire ratings from one to four hours. Fire resisting ductwork can be used in any area of a building to protect life and property and to aid the emergency services in the event of a fire, and is typically used in ventilation, smoke and kitchen extract ductwork. Other common uses include basement and enclosed car parks, escape routes, pressurisation systems, fume cupboards and high risk areas.

All Firemac systems are rigorously tested to BS476 Part 24 1987, and a full appraisal has been issued by the Buildings Research Establishment which is available from Firemac. The system also has third party accreditation from International Fire Consultants (IFC) which can be viewed at

Our fabricators work to the latest technical information from Firemac regarding the design, manufacture and installation of fire resistant ductwork, and installations can be inspected by Firemac's inspectors if a Certificate of Conformity is required.
We have installed Firemac's systems across a wide range of sectors including a number of blue chip customers.
